Transparent: My goal is to save you the time and hassle of trying to figure it all out from scratch. There is a mountain of conflicting info about EVs out there—I have been learning about them every day for over 4 years so you don’t have to.
Complete independence: I’m not here to push specific brands, and I’ll be the first to tell you if you aren't ready for an EV yet. They aren't right for everyone—not just yet—and the worst thing you can do is make the switch too soon without the right information or plan.

Hi, I'm John Buchelin. I’ve spent over 20 years working in insurance, sustainability and most recently electric vehicles & home electrification. My focus has always been on making complex problems easier to solve.
I have a passion for cars and in 2022 I bought my first electric car, second hand, from the the Gold Coast. Since then I have never stopped learning about electric cars and I have been tracking the progress of new models and technology.
Along the way I have had friends and family seek out my help for them to make the switch to an electric car. I have set up EV Co-Driver to make it easier for everyone to learn about, test drive and plan the switch to an electric vehicle.
